NPP Support Drops from 35% to 21% in Latest Global InfoAnalytics Survey.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has experienced a significant decline in its support base, dropping from 35% in November 2024 to 21% in February 2025, according to a new survey conducted by Global InfoAnalytics. This sharp decline reflects growing voter dissatisfaction ahead of the upcoming general elections.

The survey points to multiple reasons for the NPP’s dwindling popularity. Among the key issues are:
1. Economic Hardships – Rising inflation, high living costs, and unemployment continue to frustrate Ghanaians. Many voters feel the government has not done enough to improve economic conditions.
2. Internal Party Divisions – The NPP has been grappling with leadership challenges and internal disagreements, weakening its public appeal.
3. Communication Issues – The party has struggled to effectively communicate its policies and achievements, leading to a loss of voter confidence.

As the NPP faces declining support, its main rival, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has been gaining traction in key regions. The survey suggests that the NDC’s ability to maintain a united front and address voters’ concerns has strengthened its position ahead of the elections.

With the NPP’s popularity dropping significantly, political analysts believe the party must urgently reassess its strategies if it hopes to regain the trust of the electorate. The coming months will be crucial as both major parties intensify their campaigns in preparation for the highly anticipated elections.
