Counselor Lutterodt: Men Who Rush Home After Work Have Mental Issues.

Ghanaian marriage counselor and outspoken personality, Counselor George Lutterodt, has once again sparked debate with his controversial opinions about marriage and family life. Speaking in an interview with Nana Yaa Brefo on Onua FM, Counselor Lutterodt criticized men who go home immediately after work, describing such behavior as abnormal.

According to him, men who rush home after work to spend time with their families are exhibiting signs of mental instability.

“Any man who rushes home immediately after work to spend time with his family needs attention because such men, in my opinion, have mental problems,” he boldly stated during the interview.

Counselor Lutterodt argued that a man’s primary responsibility is to provide food and shelter for his wife and children. Beyond that, he believes spending ample time at home is unnecessary.

“It is okay and enough for a man to provide food and shelter for his children and wife. There is no sense in the belief that a man must spend so much time at home with his family,” he added.

The controversial counselor suggested that men should dedicate time to themselves after work instead of hurrying home, implying that spending time outside helps men to unwind and maintain a balanced mental state.

Counselor Lutterodt’s remarks have ignited widespread backlash on social media. Many have criticized his comments as dismissive of the emotional needs of families, while others argue that his statements undermine the importance of fatherly presence in the home.

Some critics emphasized that spending time with family strengthens bonds, improves communication, and promotes a healthier home environment.

A social media user commented, “How can he say spending time with family is abnormal? This is why society is losing family values. A man’s presence at home is as important as providing food and shelter.”

However, a few others supported his perspective, agreeing that men should have personal time to relax before heading home.

Known for his controversial takes on relationships and family life, Counselor Lutterodt has gained a reputation for stirring public debate with his bold and unconventional views. While his statements often attract criticism, they continue to spark conversations about societal norms and family dynamics in Ghana.

Counselor Lutterodt’s latest comments have added to the ongoing discourse about the roles and responsibilities of men in marriage and family life. Whether one agrees or disagrees with his stance, his remarks highlight the diverse perspectives on how men should balance work, personal time, and family commitments.

The debate underscores the evolving expectations of fatherhood and family roles in modern Ghanaian society.
