Twum Boafo Calls Out Rev. Ntim Fordjour in Fiery Interview:

In a strongly worded and controversial interview political commentator and former Executive Secretary of the Free Zones Board, Kwadwo Twum Boafo launched a scathing critique of Deputy Minister of Education, Reverend John Ntim Fordjour accusing him of attempting to imitate outspoken North Tongu MP, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

Speaking on a Metro TV program aired Friday, April 11, 2025, and shared on the station’s official Instagram page, Twum Boafo did not mince words as he questioned Rev. Ntim Fordjour’s credibility and authenticity—both as a politician and a man of God.

“The fact that Rev. Ntim Fordjour is now showing up on TV every day doesn’t make him Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa, Twum Boafo began. Let me give Reverend John Ntim Fordjour some advice—look that man is a fake pastor. I am telling you I’ve said it. Anybody can be ordained.

Twum Boafo referenced the proliferation of questionable clerics in Ghana over the past few years, implying Rev. Ntim Fordjour fits that mold. He insisted that if the Deputy Minister truly had credible information, he would have sent it to the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) the Ghana Police Service or relevant security agencies rather than using the media to in his view stir public scandal.

He further compared the reverend unfavorably to Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa, who is known for presenting well-documented exposés and investigative reports against perceived government misconduct.

When Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa comes he comes with documents facts. He sits on the left side and his victim, Nana, sits on the right. Rev. Ntim didn’t even come with a motor receipt. What he came to do is just to spread scandal,” he said, with palpable frustration.

Twum Boafo went even further, ridiculing Rev. Ntim Fordjour’s appearance.

You have bushy hair—cut your hair and you’ll look more like Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa, he mocked.

Perhaps the most damning accusation came toward the end of his statement, where he alleged that Rev. Ntim Fordjour was hiding under the armpit of the Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, out of fear of being arrested.

When Afenyo-Markin raises his hand, you will see Ntim Fordjour there, because he’s afraid of being arrested, Twum Boafo claimed.

The video of the interview has gone viral on social media with thousands of Ghanaians reacting, debating, and dissecting Twum Boafo’s comments. While some applauded his candor, others described his remarks as overly harsh and lacking decorum, especially given Rev. Ntim Fordjour’s position as a minister of state.

This fiery exchange marks another chapter in the ever-evolving political drama in Ghana, with public figures increasingly using media platforms to air grievances, settle scores and assert influence ahead of the 2025 general elections.

As the debate continues online all eyes are on Reverend John Ntim Fordjour and whether he will respond publicly to these damning accusations.
