Stonebwoy Applauds Amaarae and Moily for Making Ghana Proud on International Stages

Ghanaian dancehall heavyweight Stonebwoy has joined a growing list of celebrities and fans praising rising stars Amaarae and Moily for their groundbreaking performances over the weekend on major international stages.

On April 12, 2025, singer Moily thrilled thousands at the Reggae Fest held at the iconic Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. She shared the stage with celebrated Jamaican dancehall acts including Vybz Kartel, Shenseea, and Skilibeng, cementing her place as one of Ghana’s exciting new exports in reggae and dancehall.

Just two days later, on April 14, 2025, Amaarae made history at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, becoming the first Ghanaian female artiste to perform a solo set at the prestigious U.S.-based event. Known for her genre-blending sound and unique fashion sense, Amaarae’s appearance at Coachella marked a proud moment for Ghana’s growing global music presence.

Reacting to the achievements of both women, Stonebwoy took to social media to celebrate their success.

I see you, Amaarae, killing it at Coachella, and Moily also doing her thing with Vybz Kartel in Brooklyn. They say what men can do, women can do better,” he wrote.

Stonebwoy’s commendation is part of a broader wave of support from industry colleagues including Efya, Kojo Blak, Sarkodie and Guru who also expressed admiration for the two artistes’ accomplishments.

Many music lovers have taken to social media to share their excitement, calling the duo’s recent milestones a big win for Ghana’s entertainment industry, especially for female representation on international platforms.

Amaarae, who gained international recognition with her hit Sad Girlz Luv Money, continues to break boundaries with her experimental sound and bold visuals. Moily, on the other hand, is gaining traction in the reggae and dancehall space with her raw talent and dynamic stagecraft.

These remarkable feats by Amaarae and Moily are not just personal victories, but also major strides for Ghanaian music on the world stage. As the global spotlight continues to shine on African talents, Ghana’s female artistes are proving they deserve a seat at the table—and even on the biggest of stages.
