Prominent Figures Grace One-Week Celebration of Prophetess Rebekah Nhyirah
The one-week celebration of the late Prophetess Rebekah Nhyirah, affectionately known as Mama Becky, was solemnly observed on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the premises of Edumfa Heavenly Ministry formerly known as Edumfa Prayer Camp. The event drew a large number of mourners, including prominent religious leaders, traditional rulers, public figures, and gospel icons who gathered to honor the memory of the late prophetess.
Mama Becky, known for her spiritual impact and prophetic ministry, was the only daughter of Prophetess Grace Mensah who was the founder of Edumfa prayer camp currently know as Edumfa Heavenly Ministry in the Central Region. Her passing has been described as a great loss to the Christian community, especially within the prayer ministry circles.
Among the notable personalities who attended the event were:
1.Apostle Emmanuel Ackom – A former internal auditor and financial manager at the Headquarters of the Church of Pentecost. He now serves as the founder and chairman of Converts Family Church, located at Kasoa.
2.Apostle Patrick Enning – A respected retired Apostle of the Church of Pentecost, who once served as the Area Head of Ashaiman. His presence brought honor and spiritual weight to the gathering.
3.Nana Okongyedom Okyem VI – The Paramount Chief of Odumekyir Abaka, born Kwame Kuma. He is a former constituency chairman for the Abura Asebu Kwamankese Constituency under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and a former national chairman of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) under the Trade Union Congress (TUC).
4.Eric Woode, also known as Mr. Woode – A renowned blogger, content creator, and social media influencer. He is the founder and CEO of ZINZIN Group of Businesses, MR WOODE STUDIOS, and mrwoode.com. He is also a strategic partner of Mango Seed Logistics and IT Services.
5.Prophetess Kate Asante – Founder of Bethel Encounter Prayer Ministry in Kumasi, known for her vibrant prayer ministry.
6.Cecilia Marfo – Celebrated Ghanaian gospel musician and founder of Cecilia Marfo Ministry. Her presence brought inspiration and uplifted the crowd through worship.
7.Pastor Robert Asamoah – The District Pastor of the Church of Pentecost at Edumfa, who also played a key role in the organization of the event.
The atmosphere at Edumfa was filled with reverence, praise, and reflection, as the attendees celebrated the life and impact of Prophetess Rebekah Nhyirah. Her legacy as a prayerful and prophetic leader was highlighted through testimonies and tributes from her spiritual children, ministry partners, and family.
The final funeral rites have been officially scheduled to take place from Friday, November 14, to Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the same Edumfa Heavenly Ministry grounds.
