Prince Ampem Shines as Eyüpspor Defeat Antalyaspor in Final Home Game of Turkish Super Lig Season
Ghanaian winger Prince Ampem capped off an impressive season with a standout performance to help Eyüpspor secure a 2-1 victory over Antalyaspor in their final home fixture of the 2024/2025 Turkish Super Lig season at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium.
Ampem was a constant threat throughout the match playing the full 90 minutes and finding the net in the 44th minute with a calm left-footed finish from the center of the penalty box. His goal doubled Eyüpspor’s lead after Mame Thiam had opened the scoring just four minutes earlier in the 40th minute, giving the hosts a comfortable two-goal cushion heading into halftime.
Eyüpspor dominated much of the contest, enjoying 59% possession and creating several clear chances. Although Antalyaspor managed to pull a goal back in the 87th minute through Adolfo Gaich the home side held their ground in the dying moments to secure all three points in front of their supporters.
Ampem’s goal was his fourth of the season in what has been a consistent campaign for the Ghanaian attacker. He featured in 29 league matches, playing a key role in Eyüpspor’s top-half finish. The win was also significant as it marked only Eyüpspor’s second-ever victory over Antalyaspor, leveling their head-to-head record to two wins each and one draw.
With this result, Eyüpspor concluded the season in sixth place, amassing 53 points and demonstrating solid progress in one of Europe’s most competitive leagues.
Prince Ampem’s performance has not gone unnoticed, with fans and pundits alike praising his work ethic, attacking flair, and composure in front of goal. As he looks ahead to the next season, his development will be closely followed, both in Turkey and back home in Ghana, where hopes remain high for his continued rise.
