Otelee Opens Up About Past Feud With Sunsum Over Disrespect to His Wife
Kumawood actor Otelee has opened up about a past misunderstanding with his colleague Sunsum stemming from repeated acts of disrespect directed at his family, particularly his wife.
In a candid interview with Zionfelix on April 9, 2025, Otelee revealed that tensions between himself and Sunsum began during a trip to Accra for a program. He recalled that Sunsum had made derogatory remarks and behaved inappropriately towards his wife which deeply offended him and triggered a feud.
The reason my wife stopped him from seeing me when I was sick was because of what happened during an event in Accra, Otelee explained. He told me he wouldn’t allow my wife to sleep in our room because he wanted to bring in a lady. That was a huge sign of disrespect.
Otelee further noted that the incident escalated to the extent that they reported the matter to the Suame Police Station in the Ashanti Region. Following that, Sunsum allegedly granted several interviews in which he made further negative comments about Otelee worsening the situation.
I felt very hurt by his actions and words. I ended up blocking him on all social media platforms, Otelee disclosed.
Despite the bad blood that once existed between them Otelee revealed that they have since mended fences. He shared how Sunsum made an effort to reconnect by reaching out through Otelee’s wife, informing her that someone wanted to offer financial help to Otelee during his recovery from illness.
He eventually called me and I’m happy he came to visit me when I was sick. Not everyone would do that especially after a conflict he said, acknowledging Sunsum’s goodwill.
Otelee’s revelations shed light on how personal misunderstandings can strain professional relationships, but also emphasize the importance of forgiveness, maturity, and moving forward.
The Kumawood industry has seen its fair share of conflicts, but stories like this offer hope that reconciliation is always possible, especially when both parties are willing to let go of the past.
