OB Amponsah Backs King Paluta for Artiste of the Year at 26th TGMA

 

Popular Ghanaian comedian OB Amponsah has thrown his weight behind rapper King Paluta to win the highly coveted Artiste of the Year award at the upcoming 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).

In a post sighted by Zionfelix.net, OB Amponsah praised King Paluta’s exceptional year in 2024, describing him as the most sought-after artiste who connected deeply with the Ghanaian public. He highlighted the rapper’s consistency, hit songs, and standout features as enough justification for him to take home the top award.

No artiste was more sought after or resonated with the general public more than King Paluta in 2024,” OB Amponsah wrote. “He had the kind of year Black Sherif had when he won Artiste of the Year. The young man deserves his flowers!”

OB cited three major hit songs by King Paluta—“Aseda,” “Makoma,” and “For The Papping (Apicki)”—as clear indicators of his dominance in the year under review. He also pointed out King Paluta’s impressive guest appearances on other big tracks, including “Sika” by DJ Vyrusky ft. KiDi & King Paluta, and “Odo Bi Yɛ Bad” by Rap Fada ft. King Paluta, where he delivered a fan-favourite verse:
“Wanwaa meaaa me mbɔ tuo… Sɛ wondɔ meaaa nnipa bebrebebrebee bɛdɔ me oo.”

These contributions, according to OB, made King Paluta one of the most impactful and versatile artists of the year.
