NPP’s Nana B Refutes Claims of Physical Altercation with Opare Ansah
The National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Henry Nana Boakye popularly known as Nana B has firmly denied reports alleging that he was slapped by former Suhum Member of Parliament Fredrick Opare Ansah during the party’s Thank You tour over the weekend.
Speaking in an interview, Nana B described the reports as false, baseless and a clear fabrication aimed at stirring unnecessary controversy within the party. According to him Mr. Opare Ansah is a calm and peaceful individual who would never engage in any form of violence.
There is no iota of truth. Hon. Opare Ansah can never do that because I am even the radical one. So I don’t even understand where all of this is coming from. I don’t know how people will fabricate such a story, Nana B stated.
He also addressed another circulating claim suggesting that he was reprimanded or threatened by former NPP Presidential aspirant and Member of Parliament for Assin Central Kennedy Ohene Agyapong. Nana B clarified that there was no confrontation or threats involved. Instead, Mr. Agyapong merely raised concerns about the event’s timing due to an impending rainfall.
He was only raising concerns about our time and schedules because it was about to rain. So, I don’t know why mischievous people in our team would record this video and circulate it, he explained.
Nana B expressed disappointment over the actions of those who recorded and spread the video without context, describing the video as useless, needless and baseless.
I’m not a coward and not in any way angry. There is absolutely nothing. Hon. Kennedy Agyapong never issued a threat, he emphasized.
He urged party members and the general public to disregard the false reports and focus on the unity and forward movement of the NPP especially as the party gears up for upcoming national engagements.
The National Organiser’s comments seek to put to rest the speculations and ensure that the NPP’s internal cohesion remains intact as they continue their grassroots engagements.
