Methodist Youth Camp Strengthens Discipleship in Mankesim West
Mankesim, Central Region — August 10, 2025
The Methodist Church Ghana, Mankesim West Circuit has successfully wrapped up its 2025 Youth Camp held from August 8–10 at Krofu Methodist Church near Mankesim. The three‑day gathering drew young people from across the circuit for Bible teaching, worship, mentorship and practical discipleship training.
Organized under the leadership of Very Rev. Emmanuel Ampong (Superintendent Minister), Rev. Barnabas Ahorga (Circuit Minister) and Brother Richard Mensah (Circuit Youth Organizer) the camp ran under the theme Discipleship: Growing Into Christian Maturity (Ephesians 4:14) with the attendant focus Deep Roots, Strong Faith” (Colossians 2:6–7).
Mr. Vincent Egyir Mensah a local preacher delivered the main sermons encouraging participants to be firmly grounded in Scripture and to demonstrate Christian character in daily life. His messages emphasized integrity consistency in spiritual disciplines and active service in the church and wider community.
Programme highlights
• Bible studies: Practical lessons on spiritual growth, accountability and Christian service.
• Worship and prayer: Extended sessions that deepened personal devotion and corporate fellowship.
