McBrown Forgives Funny Face, Calls for Prayers

Celebrated Ghanaian actress and media personality, Felicity Ama Agyemang, popularly known as Nana Ama McBrown has emotionally recounted her recent encounter with embattled comic actor Funny Face urging Ghanaians to pray for him as he continues to recover from his mental health struggles.

In a heartfelt revelation on her Onua Showtime program the award-winning actress and host opened up about a touching moment she shared with Funny Face at a dinner event organized as part of the Church of Pentecost’s Global Business Conference held in February 2025 at the Alisa Hotel.

According to McBrown Funny Face, upon seeing her rushed towards her, embraced her tightly, and tearfully asked for her forgiveness over past remarks he had made during a difficult period in his life. The actress, known for her compassion and humility, said she immediately forgave him, assuring him that she held no grudges.

Funny Face hugged me and begged for forgiveness. I told him I had already forgiven him a long time ago, McBrown shared on her show.

During the interview McBrown was joined by Cokeman, a former associate of Funny Face. She questioned him about his absence from Funny Face’s life and urged him to seek reconciliation, emphasizing the importance of unity, love and emotional support in times of crisis.

I appeal to you, Cokeman, to look for Funny Face and settle your differences. He needs all the support he can get,” she pleaded.

McBrown went on to highlight Funny Face’s current journey of spiritual recovery, revealing that he is actively involved in Christian ministry work and is under the care of Kumawood actor Kwaku Manu, who has been offering him both physical and emotional support.

Funny Face, known in private life as Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, went through a turbulent period in 2024 marked by mental health challenges, emotional distress, and a public feud with his estranged baby mama, Vanessa Nicole. During this time, he made several offensive comments about fellow celebrities including Nana Ama McBrown, Medikal, Lil Win, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy. He also publicly mocked McBrown’s accident, which left a lasting impact on her right arm.

Despite all this, McBrown has shown immense grace and forgiveness, using her platform to advocate for understanding and mental health awareness. She concluded her message by calling on the public to pray for Funny Face and support him as he works toward a full recovery.

Funny Face needs our prayers more than ever. He’s on a journey back to himself, and with love, care, and God, he will rise again, she said.

The reunion between Nana Ama McBrown and Funny Face stands as a powerful reminder of the strength in forgiveness, the importance of mental health support, and the enduring impact of compassion within Ghana’s entertainment industry.
