Popular Kumasi figure Lion Spirito, also known as the Kumasi Budo has publicly refuted allegations suggesting he is involved in stealing or using dishonest means to acquire wealth. In an exclusive interview with Bullet on Sikka FM monitored by GH Page, Spirito cleared the air, insisting that there is no truth to the rumours circulating about him.
There is not even a single truth in what people are saying, Spirito declared. I have never stolen from anyone, and I work extremely hard for every cedi I earn.
Lion Spirito who has gained attention in the Ashanti Region for his vibrant personality and rising influence, expressed disappointment over what he described as baseless accusations. He revealed that despite his efforts to uplift others, particularly the youth, some people continue to misjudge him.
I have employed young men and women because I want to keep them away from negative influences. I know how difficult life can be and I don’t want to see anyone go astray, he said.
Spirito further emphasized that envy and dishonesty have never been part of his life. Since I was born I have never envied anyone. I have never taken anything that does not belong to me, he affirmed.
Addressing how he reacts to being labelled a bad person, Spirito admitted that such comments used to bother him. At first, I used to feel tickled when I heard people saying bad things about me. But I’ve come to realize that no matter what you do, people will believe what they want. You can’t force everyone to understand your heart.
He concluded by stating that eventually, the truth will come to light but it might be too late for those who have already judged him unfairly.
Lion Spirito’s statement is a direct response to growing social media speculation and public commentary questioning the source of his wealth. His remarks aim to clear his name and reassure the public of his integrity and commitment to honest living.
