Gyakie Hints at Love Life in Upcoming Album ‘After Midnight

 

Ghanaian R&B and Afro-fusion sensation Gyakie, known in private life as Jackline Acheampong, has teased fans with a glimpse into her personal life, revealing that her upcoming album, “After Midnight,” holds all the answers to questions about her love life.

Speaking on The Afternoon Show on Wednesday, May 28, 2025,monitored by mrwoode.com Gyakie responded to curiosity about her romantic relationships by directing listeners to her unreleased project. My love life is in the album. The answer to that question is in the album (After Midnight), she said.

While confirming that she is currently single, the ‘Rent Free’ hitmaker remained tight-lipped about further details, instead encouraging fans to explore her music for deeper insight.

Gyakie recently dropped a single titled ‘Sankofa’ on Friday, May 23, as a prelude to the full album. The song is part of the tracklist on After Midnight, which is highly anticipated by her fans across Africa and beyond.

In a separate part of the interview, Gyakie surprised many by stating she has no problem using public transportation a rare move for celebrities in Ghana. She said, I can. Maybe it will be very loud and all, but I don’t mind sitting in trotro to go somewhere. I will sit in trotro 100%. I think that will be something that will be really good.”
