Gov’t Orders Urgent Road Repairs on Ashaiman-Afienya, Tema-Dawhenya Stretches
The Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Agbodza, has directed two local contractors, First Sky and Ozwald Investments Limited, to mobilize immediately and commence road construction on the Ashaiman-Afienya and Tema Motorway to Dawhenya stretches.
This directive aims to provide urgent relief to motorists and commuters who endure long hours of traffic congestion on these busy routes.
During an emergency visit to the affected areas, the Minister emphasized the government’s concern about the deteriorating conditions of the roads and their impact on commuters’ safety and security. He assured residents and road users that work would begin without delay to address these challenges.
The government is highly concerned about the human security aspect of these roads. We have therefore directed First Sky and Ozwald to immediately mobilize and commence work to improve the road conditions for users,” Kwame Governs Agbodza stated.
The Minister commended First Sky and Ozwald Investments Limited for their commitment to road construction despite the challenges facing the sector. He expressed confidence in their ability to deliver quality work and ensure timely completion of the projects.
As the Member of Parliament for Adaklu, Kwame Governs Agbodza highlighted the importance of the project in enhancing economic activities and reducing the daily struggles of commuters. He assured the public that his ministry would closely monitor progress to ensure efficiency and timely delivery.
The construction of these critical road sections is expected to:
