Frank Edoho Explains Why Many Women Don’t Prefer Extremely Nice Men

Renowned Nigerian media personality and former Who Wants To Be a Millionaire host, Frank Edoho, has stirred conversation online after sharing his perspective on why many women seemingly prefer men with a bad boy edge over those who are constantly nice.

Speaking on a recent episode of the TVC talk show The Black Table Frank opened up about a thought-provoking article he came across. The piece explored the idea of red flags in relationships that people find oddly attractive — with a particular focus on women’s preferences.

Frank recounted, There was an article I saw on a blog that intrigued me. The topic was, ‘What is that red flag that you admire in the opposite sex?’ The question was channelled to women.

He went on to express his surprise at some of the responses, stating that the feedback reinforced his belief that men should not always strive to be overly nice. Although I am of the school of thought that men shouldn’t be nice all the time, the answers I got furthered my resolve that men should not even be nice at all,” he said.

According to Edoho, some women admitted to being attracted to controlling or assertive behaviors. He quoted one comment in particular: I like it when my man tells me, ‘I don’t want to repeat myself again.’ She said it turns her on.

Other responses he encountered suggested that women found subtle displays of dominance appealing. Some said they like it when their man waxes them — not extremely, but shows power. It turns them on, Frank noted.

The veteran broadcaster concluded by clarifying that he does not believe all women share this mindset but maintained that a significant number seem to gravitate toward men who aren’t overly nice. “There are some strange things going on in the minds of these women that you are trying to be nice to. I am not saying all of them are like that, but the majority of women don’t like nice guys. They want bad guys that are nice to them sometimes, he said.

Frank Edoho’s comments have sparked a broader debate on social media about modern relationship dynamics, gender expectations, and how traditional ideas of masculinity and dominance continue to influence dating preferences.
