Ex-Jubilee House Official: Nana Addo Ignored Advice, NPP Risks 2028 Defeat

 

Odeneho Nana Oppong former Director of Transport at the Jubilee House under President Nana Akufo-Addo’s administration, has revealed that he nearly resigned from his position due to challenges he faced while working with the former president.

Speaking in an interview with Kwame Nkrumah Tikese on OK FM Odeneho Nana Oppong disclosed that he was warned by several people that President Akufo-Addo was not someone who listened to advice and that he would be disappointed if he followed him. However he ignored these warnings at the time.

I later found out that what they said was true. Nana Addo does not listen to advice and I nearly resigned because of that, he stated.

During the interview Odeneho Nana Oppong also shared his views on the future of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) predicting that the 2028 general elections will be extremely difficult for the party.

According to him, the challenges and decisions made under the Nana Akufo-Addo administration have created uncertainties for the party’s chances of retaining power in the next election.

The 2028 general election will be very difficult for the NPP to win, he warned.

His remarks have sparked discussions within political circles with some party members expressing concern over internal divisions and governance challenges that could affect their electoral fortunes.

As Ghana moves towards the 2028 elections, Odeneho Nana Oppong’s statements add to ongoing debates about leadership, governance and the NPP’s ability to maintain public confidence.
