Dr. Kwaku Oteng Recounts Being Mocked for Selling Medicine Before Rising to Success
Founder and President of Angel Broadcasting Network, Dr. Kwaku Oteng, has shared his inspiring journey of perseverance, revealing how he was once ridiculed by some ladies for selling medicine on the streets.
Speaking in a conversation on Angel FM, which was shared on social media on February 17, 2025, Dr. Oteng recalled how some women in his neighborhood made fun of him because they did not understand the vision behind his hustle.
Dr. Kwaku Oteng recounted his struggles when he lived at Breman West, where he used to sell medicine while carrying it on his head. According to him, some ladies in the area constantly teased him, suggesting that he should look for a “better job.”
“I remember when I used to live at Breman West. I used to sell medicine on my head, and anytime I went around selling, there were these ladies in my enclave who would tease me, saying that if I wanted to work, I should go and look for a better job,” he narrated.
Despite the ridicule, he remained focused on his business because he knew it was profitable and had the potential to grow into something bigger.
Dr. Oteng emphasized that he was never discouraged by the mockery, as he was earning good money from the business. He revealed that years later, one of the same ladies who used to laugh at him admitted that they had underestimated his hustle.
“One of them came to me one time and told me about how they used to laugh at me. But I wasn’t bothered because I knew the money I was making from the business,” he said.
Dr. Kwaku Oteng’s story is a testament to hard work, perseverance, and believing in one’s dreams. From selling medicine on the streets, he has built a business empire that includes Angel Broadcasting Network, Adonko Bitters, and several other successful ventures.
