Dr. Frank Amoakohene the Ashanti Regional Minister has denied allegations that traders at the Kumasi Railway Market were not given prior notice before the recent demolition exercise. Speaking on the matter, he assured the public that the demolition process followed due procedure and that affected traders were duly informed ahead of time.
Addressing concerns from traders who claimed they were caught off guard, Dr. Amoakohene emphasized that all necessary steps were taken to communicate the planned demolition. He explained that officials had engaged with traders beforehand, ensuring that those operating within the railway market were aware of the government’s intentions.
