Denkyira Dankwakrom Youth and MP Donate Lawnmower, Jerseys, and Footballs to D/A Basic School

The youth of Denkyira Dankwakrom in collaboration with the Member of Parliament for the Upper Denkyira West Constituency, Honorable Rudolf Amoako Gyampah have presented a brand-new lawnmower, a set of football jerseys and footballs to the Denkyira Dankwakrom D/A Basic School in the Central Region.
This generous gesture was made in response to an appeal made by the school authorities during a visit by the youth group last academic year. According to the leader of the youth group Nana Aseidu  who also serves as the Chief of the Youth in the community, the school had requested support for a lawnmower to reduce the time students spent on weeding during school hours, time which could otherwise be used for learning.
In an interview with mrwoode.com, the youth leader explained that the youth mobilized funds among themselves to purchase the lawnmower. In addition, Honorable Rudolf Amoako Gyampah supported the initiative by providing a set of football jerseys and footballs to encourage sports and extracurricular activities in the school.
Speaking on behalf of the MP, Mr. Daniel Asare an aide to the parliamentarian confirmed the MP’s commitment to the welfare of schools in the constituency. He stated that Hon. Gyampah had earlier promised to donate sports equipment to the school and his contribution to this donation was part of fulfilling that promise.
The donation was warmly received by the school community. In a brief ceremony, the Headmaster of the school, Mr. Frank Gyasi, along with the Assistant Headmaster, Mr. Stephen Prempeh Afrani and the PTA Chairman, Opanyin Akwasi Tawia expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the youth and the MP. They emphasized that the lawnmower will significantly reduce the burden on students and allow more time for academic work while the jerseys and footballs will boost sporting activities.
The entire student body joined the staff in expressing appreciation describing the donation as timely and impactful.
This initiative stands as a shining example of community collaboration and the importance of youth involvement in education and development.
