Daniel Mensah Wardy Confirmed as New DCE for Abura Asebu Kwamankese District

Daniel Mensah Wardy, a former teacher and ex-coordinator of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), has been overwhelmingly confirmed as the new District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Abura Asebu Kwamankese District in the Central Region.

His nomination, which came from the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, was put to a vote by the Assembly Members on Tuesday, April 16, 2025. The confirmation vote took place at Abura Dunkwa, the district capital.

Out of 41 assembly members who participated in the voting process, 40 voted in favor of Mr. Wardy’s appointment, with only one member voting against—signifying a strong endorsement from the assembly.

Before the voting commenced, 13 government appointees were officially sworn into the assembly. Their presence completed the voting body required to carry out the election of the DCE. The newly sworn-in appointees are:

Daniel Mensah Wardy is widely recognized in the district for his dedication to grassroots development and public service. His confirmation as DCE is expected to usher in a new chapter of growth, coordination, and community engagement in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese District.
