AVSF Brings Relief to Injured Pupils After Konongo-Odumasi Road Crash
The Accident Victims Support Foundation of Ghana (AVSF) has extended much-needed support to some pupils of Ben Konadu SDA Basic School in Konongo-Odumasi, who were involved in a recent road accident during an educational trip.
The tragic incident occurred on March 28, 2025, along the Adukrom-Somanya road, when a bus transporting 62 schoolchildren on an excursion was involved in a crash. The accident left several students injured and sent shockwaves through the community.
In response, the President of the Foundation, Rev. Cyril Benedict Crabbe led a delegation to visit the victims and present donations including cash and essential food items, to support the pupils and their families during their recovery.
Speaking to Mr woode of mrwoode.com , Rev. Crabbe emphasized the importance of showing compassion to accident victims and encouraged Ghanaians to emulate the Foundation’s efforts. This is a time for us to show love and support. These children need our help, and we must stand by them. I also appeal to the government to provide additional assistance to ensure their full recovery, he stated.
The Headmaster of Ben Konadu SDA Basic School, Mr. Kwame Owusu Boateng, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Foundation for its timely intervention. This support has brought relief to the affected families. We are truly grateful for their kindness, he said.
Kwadwo Ansah Amenyaw, Chairman of the school’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), who was also on the bus during the incident, shared his appreciation and called for continued support. As someone who was also part of the accident, I deeply appreciate this gesture. Our children still need more help, and we hope others will join in to support them, he remarked.
