Ernest Owusu-Bempah Eyes NPP National Organiser Position Ahead of 2028 Elections
Deputy Communications Officer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ernest Owusu-Bempah, has expressed interest in becoming the next National Organiser of the party as it works towards rebuilding ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Following the NPP’s heavy defeat in the 2024 polls, party stakeholders are looking for strong, strategic, and dynamic leaders to help recapture power in the next election. Some political analysts believe Owusu-Bempah possesses the boldness and fearlessness required for the position.
Political analyst Kwaku Ntow has described Owusu-Bempah as an ideal candidate for the National Organiser role, citing his strategic skills, communication expertise, and leadership experience in key political movements.
“Ernest Owusu-Bempah is a straightforward person, very articulate, bold, and fearless,” Ntow stated. He further highlighted Owusu-Bempah’s contributions to groups like the Fixing the Country Movement and the Let My Vote Count Alliance, which have been instrumental in political advocacy in Ghana.
As the NPP strategizes for the 2028 elections, the party requires a National Organiser who can effectively mobilize grassroots support, strengthen party structures, and communicate the party’s vision to Ghanaians. Owusu-Bempah’s experience and reputation in political activism make him a strong contender for the role.
With the internal reorganization of the NPP expected to take shape in the coming months, it remains to be seen how Owusu-Bempah’s candidacy will be received within the party.
