Dr. Osei Kwame Despite to Launch Ghana’s First Luxury Automobile Museum

Dr. Osei Kwame Despite, a prominent Ghanaian entrepreneur and CEO of the Despite Group of Companies, is reportedly preparing to launch Ghana’s first automobile museum. This initiative aims to provide both recreational and educational experiences for visitors, showcasing a diverse collection of vehicles that highlight the evolution of automotive engineering.

A video circulating on social media offers a glimpse into the museum’s impressive architecture, characterized by its unique blend of colors and contemporary design. Although the museum has yet to open its doors to the public, it is said to house an array of luxurious and rare vehicles not commonly seen on Ghanaian roads. The collection is expected to feature vintage cars, classic models, and modern high-end automobiles, providing a comprehensive overview of automotive history.

Dr. Despite is well-known for his passion for rare and exotic vehicles. In February 2022, he made headlines by acquiring a Bugatti Chiron worth over $3 million to mark his 60th birthday, making him the first Ghanaian and West African to own this model.
His personal collection includes other high-end vehicles such as the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster and the Rolls-Royce Sweptail.
