AAK MP Felix Kwakye Ofosu Walks Away from Questions on Failing Hospital and Bad Roads
Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Member of Parliament for Abura Asebu Kwamankese (AAK) in the Central Region has sparked outrage among concerned residents after refusing to answer urgent questions about the poor state of health care and roads in his constituency.
The incident happened on 3rd July 2025 after a press briefing hosted by the Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations at the Information Services Department in Accra. Eric Woode widely known as Mr Woode a prominent blogger and community advocate who uses his platform to amplify important issues, respectfully confronted the MP privately after the press briefing to demand answers many believe have been ignored for too long in Abura Asebu Kwamankese district. .
Mr Woode asked the MP why the Abura Dunkwa District Hospital the largest health facility in the area which also serves parts of Assin South and Mfantseman district remains under-equipped and in dire need of modern medical resources.

He also asked why the Abura Dunkwa township roads are still in a deplorable state making daily life difficult for commuters and businesses alike.

Shockingly, Felix Kwakye Ofosu brushed off the questions, saying he did not attend the press briefing to discuss those matters. Even when asked if he had any encouraging words for the very people who voted him into office, he declined insisting he was not there because of those questions.
According to Mr Woode, this was not the first time the MP had avoided these concerns. He revealed that he has repeatedly called the MP’s phone to set up an interview about these issues but none of the calls were answered or returned.
This attitude has angered many people in Abura Asebu Kwamankese who feel abandoned and unheard. Residents say their roads remain dusty and potholed year after year and the district’s biggest hospital struggles without modern equipment putting lives at risk every day.
Speaking after the incident, Mr Woode promised to continue holding leaders accountable and giving ordinary people a platform to speak out. He said the people of AAK deserve better and should not be left to suffer in silence while their elected representative looks away.
Frustrated locals are now demanding that Felix Kwakye Ofosu break his silence and outline exactly how he plans to fix these long-standing problems. Many believe true leadership means showing up when it matters most not walking away when tough questions are asked.
Mr Woode is calling on all residents to raise their voices louder than ever and to hold their leaders responsible for promises made during election campaigns. He says good governance should not be a slogan but an action that improves the daily lives of real people.
