Bishop Obinim Says Kennedy Agyapong Became Quiet Because He Now Wants to Be President

The Founder and Leader of the International God’s Way Church Bishop Daniel Obinim has made headlines once again this time taking a direct swipe at Kennedy Agyapong the former flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In a sermon delivered to his congregation on Sunday, June 15, 2025, Bishop Obinim claimed that Kennedy Agyapong never initially planned to become president. According to him the idea was planted in Agyapong’s mind by pastors who prophesied about his presidential ambitions.

Do you know that Kennedy Agyapong never had the idea of becoming president of this country? Bishop Obinim asked. It was the pastors who said it to him and then he realized he wanted to become president.

He stressed that if Kennedy Agyapong had earlier considered a presidential bid he would have avoided many controversial public confrontations in the past especially with figures like Afia Schwarzenegger and himself.

I am telling you emphatically if anyone like him should send what I am saying to him he will admit the truth himself. If he knew earlier he wouldn’t have done a lot of things, Bishop Obinim said.

He further remarked, Today people are attacking him but because he wants to be president he is quiet now. The lion has become quiet because he wants to be president.

In a related development Prophet Bernard Elbernard Nelson-Eshun the General Overseer of Spiritlife Revival Ministries has revealed a prophetic message concerning Kennedy Agyapong and the 2028 general elections.

According to the man of God, Kennedy Agyapong is the saviour of the NPP. He claimed that from now until 2028 there will be all sorts of news surrounding Agyapong which is a spiritual strategy to keep his name in the minds and conversations of Ghanaians.

It is a stir-up in the realms of the spirit, Prophet Nelson-Eshun explained, to keep Kennedy Agyapong on the lips of the nation.

Meanwhile, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Justin Frimpong Koduah has announced that the party will hold its presidential primaries on January 31, 2026. This announcement comes at a time when speculations are rife about who will lead the party into the 2028 general elections.

With spiritual revelations and political strategies unfolding, Kennedy Agyapong remains a key figure to watch as Ghana inches closer to its next electoral cycle.
