NDC USA Chapter Chairperson Appeals to President Mahama to Include Diaspora in Government

The Chairperson of the NDC USA Chapter, Maame Aba Dadzie, has appealed to the President of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama to consider members of the diaspora in his government.

She made this appeal during the NDC USA Chapter’s Post-Election Symposium and Victory Celebration held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at The Westin Marriott Washington Dulles Airport in Herndon VR.

Maame Aba Dadzie emphasized that there are many Ghanaians living abroad especially in the United States who have acquired valuable knowledge, skills and professional experience. These individuals she noted are ready to contribute positively to Ghana’s development if given the opportunity.

In the USA we have Ghanaians who are engineers, IT experts, entrepreneurs, professors and more. They have the capacity to help move Ghana forward, she said.

She further stressed that those in the diaspora who supported the NDC during its time in opposition should not be sidelined now that the party is back in power. According to her recognizing and involving these loyal supporters will strengthen the party and foster inclusive governance.

The event brought together party members, supporters and dignitaries from across the United States to celebrate the NDC’s electoral victory and to discuss the future of the party and the nation.
