Rejected for Christ, Elevated by Grace: The Edumfa Prophecy That Took Reverend Ackom Global

During the one-week celebration of Prophetess Rebekah Nhyirah also known as Mama Becky who is the only daughter of prophetess Grace Mensah popularly known as Auntie Grace 16, at the Edumfa Heavenly Ministry (formerly Edumfa Prayer Camp) in the Central Region of Ghana, Reverend Emmanuel Ackom delivered a deeply moving testimony that has sparked conversations on social media.

Reverend Ackom, who is now the founder and chairman of the International Converts Family Church based at Kasoa shared the extraordinary journey of his life—from his early days in a Muslim household to his rise in Christian ministry. Born Abudulai to Dawuda and Samata all members of a devout Muslim family he explained how his decision to convert to Christianity came at a great personal cost.

According to him, after his conversion he faced severe rejection and maltreatment from his own family. With nowhere to turn he eventually found refuge at Edumfa Prayer Camp. It was there that a Prophetess Grace Mensah, popularly known as Auntie Grace (16) prophesied over his life. She told him he would become a great man and travel across the world a message that seemed impossible at the time given his humble background—his parents being farmers in a village.

Reverend Ackom said that although he initially struggled to believe the prophecy, he dedicated time to prayer at the camp. What followed, he described was nothing short of miraculous. He received an unexpected opportunity to serve at the Church of Pentecost headquarters in Accra starting as an internal auditor. Despite not holding any prior church leadership positions such as elder or deacon he was later promoted to the role of Financial Manager—an unusual progression especially for someone from a non-Christian background.

Adding to his testimony, Reverend Ackom revealed that his first passport opened the door to international travel allowing him to visit five countries initially. Since then, he has visited all continents aligning with the earlier prophecy delivered at Edumfa.

His testimony has reignited interest in the role of prayer camps and spiritual encounters in personal transformation. Social media users responded with a mix of amazement and reflection. One user, Cynthia expressed surprise stating she thought Edumfa was no longer active. Another Sarah affirmed that the camp is still vibrant sharing her belief that miracles still happen there. Samuel testified to securing a visa to the United States after seeking spiritual help at Edumfa, while Frank and Cecilia also praised the camp, calling it a land of grace.

While faith-based stories often attract differing opinions, Reverend Ackom’s narrative highlights how individual belief and perseverance can lead to life-changing experiences. The account has become part of a wider conversation about the enduring role of spirituality in the lives of many Ghanaians.
