NIB Reportedly Storms Home of Rev. Ntim Fordjour in Ongoing Investigation

Reports reaching mrwoode.com indicate that the National Investigation Bureau (NIB) on Tuesday, April 9, 2025, visited the residence of the Member of Parliament for Assin South, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour in what appears to be part of an ongoing investigation.

According to sources close to the scene the operation involved about 17 armed men and approximately 10 police vehicles. The unannounced visit reportedly occurred at the MP’s private residence in Accra.

At the time of this report the NIB has not released any official statement regarding the purpose of the operation. However unconfirmed allegations circulating on social media suggest it could be linked to an investigation into narcotics-related claims. It is important to stress that these claims have not been verified and no formal charges have been announced against the MP.

Residents in the area were left shocked by the heavy security presence with some expressing concerns over the lack of communication from authorities. Eyewitnesses reported that the officers carried out the operation in a calm but firm manner with no immediate signs of confrontation.

Efforts by mrwoode.com to reach Rev. Ntim Fordjour or his legal representatives for comments have so far been unsuccessful. Similarly attempts to obtain an official response from the NIB and the Ghana Police Service are still ongoing.

Rev. Ntim Fordjour a prominent figure in Ghana’s Parliament, has served as the MP for Assin South since 2017. He was also a Deputy Minister of Education and is well known for his contributions to youth empowerment and education reform.

This is a developing story. mrwoode.com will continue to follow up and provide verified updates as more details become available.
