Adakabre Frimpong-Manso Apologizes to Stan Dogbe and Dr. Callistus Mahama.
Renowned radio presenter Adakabre Frimpong-Manso has publicly apologized to the Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations) at the Presidency, Stan Dogbe, and the Executive Secretary to President John Dramani Mahama, Dr. Callistus Mahama, for comments suggesting that they were altering official appointments without the president’s knowledge.
In a video shared on X by Mahama 2024 President on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Adakabre retracted his previous statements and distanced himself from the allegations. He stated, “Stan Dogbe and Dr. Callistus Mahama, I retract my earlier comments. I am not the spokesperson for those making these allegations. I profoundly apologize. Those making such claims can go to court.”
His apology came after legal representatives of Stan Dogbe, RO Solomon Consulting, issued a demand for an immediate retraction and apology. The legal notice called on Adakabre to withdraw his claims, which alleged that the two officials had been making unauthorized changes to the president’s appointments.
The controversy gained public attention after Adakabre’s initial statements sparked discussions about the integrity of the appointment process at the presidency. However, with this retraction, the matter appears to have been resolved.
As of now, neither Stan Dogbe nor Dr. Callistus Mahama has issued a public response following the apology. The situation highlights the importance of accuracy in media reporting, particularly regarding sensitive government affairs.
